Survey for Week Two is OUT!
Okay, I have emailed everyone the survey for week two as well as an ethical statement I need everyone to sign/date and send back to me so I can use all of your lovely info and photos in my final design assignment. Thanks guys!
Hello and welcome! The Sustaina-Vege Project will start on Friday the 19th of September and will run for four weeks, or until the 19th of October. The aim of this experiment is to determine the problems or complications that people have with the concept and then physical reality of growing their own fruit and vegetables. On the 19th, random passersby will be enlisted to help with the experiment, and will be given a package containing four different types of vegetable seeds and a set of instructions. They will then be asked to plant these seeds at home and to monitor their growth throughout the month. Each week, photos will be taken of each plants' progress and the volunteers will take part in a weekly survey to record their thoughts and opinions about the experiment as well as factual information about the plants themselves. At the end of the month I will gather and compile this data, and will hopefully find out what issues arise and determine how they can be avoided in the future to entice and encourage more people to grow their own food. This blog will be the information database for this project and will be updated regularly with information and photos. This will not only allow the volunteers to check out each others' plants, but will also hopefully inspire others to do the same!
